Kylie's Nap Time

I put Kylie down for her nap and went back in about 10 minutes later to discover she had cleaned her bookshelf off and was very quietly reading to herself. She was so proud of herself! When I told her she had to clean up and take a nap she said "Shhhhh, Mommy. Josie is sleeping."

Vacation Bible School

Josie attended VBS and really enjoyed the crafts and playing outside! On the last night all of the kids got to spin the wheel and win prizes - she LOVED it! During the program Josie kept her back turned to the crowd...according to Josie, she was "teaching" the other kids how to sing. (Notice the teachers all have their backs turned)

Kylie's Toddler Bed

Kylie is not sleeping in her toddler bed! This picture is during her first nap in her bed! She seems to enjoy it - except the few times she has fallen out during the night. We have a big stuffed dog pillow that makes her landing soft. She is such a big girl now. She is speaking in full sentences and

letting us know exactly how she feels!

Oak Island

What a great vacation! The girls LOVE the beach and having tons of people to play with and spoil them! Ice cream everyday before lunch - outdoor showers - a pool on the beach...doesn't get much better!

Princess Turns Three!

Josie turned 3 while we were at the beach! She seems to really enjoy the Princess Party! When she woke up the house was decorated and balloons were everywhere. She said "oh Mom- it really IS my birthday!" She was thrilled! Kylie enjoyed having some of Josie's Cinderella cake for breakfast! FUN!

4th of July

We enjoyed a few friends for the 4th of July! The kids really seemed to have fun in the pool and the fireworks for a hit with everyone. We hope to do it again next year!

Sack of Tatoes...

The girls love their bathtime together. Once they are all clean and wrapped tight in a towell they start yelling "sack of tatoes" and off to Kylie's room we go to put on "night night" clothes.... I love this part of the night!!! They laugh and sing and run around naked!! Kevin usually dressed Josie and I dress Kylie. Once they have their PJ's on Kevin acts like a monster and, as they say, "roars them"...the monster can't get them if they are in my lap....so of course they run to me for protection....and then they charge the monster again and again and again! It is so funny...even after several months of it - I still laugh every time!

Kiawah for Father's Day!

What a great trip!! I don't know who enjoyed the beach more - us or the girls! We joined Thold, Ruth Ellen, Laura, Catherine, and the most popular Gill - Ellie (the puppy) for a long weekend of fun and sun. Bonus - Randy and his family were there too! You will note I do not have any photos of the Atlanta Gill's - that is because I forgot my camera in the house the first 2 days of the trip! We really enjoyed our time at Kiawah. We made a few more memories and shared so many stories! We missed having Caroline with us - but enjoyed getting one-on-one with Laura and Catherine. I hope our girls grow up to be like those Gill girls!! Ellie the puppy was a big hit! Kevin made a comment that Ellie would need therapy after the girls left - they did not leave poor Ellie alone. Kylie would lay nose-to-nose with her, tickle her toes, and even try to share her water bowl. Josie was so trilled to discover that she not only got to play on the beach all day, she also was able to get in the pool and THEN finished the day with ice cream. While we were out on the beach Josie told me "Mom, I am tired and hungry, but I don't want to be." Kylie had her first kiss while we there - a small silver fish! I hope to be able to upload the video soon. Such a wonderful trip!

Superhero

Something as simple as a "cape" can change the entire mood at the Walker house! We all had fun running, "flying" and singing at the top of our lungs! Kylie had no idea why she was running - but she sure was happy to run!

End of the Year Program

Josie's preschool program was focused on Noah's ark - and boy was it a treat! I was too busy videoing the event to take pictures - so this is all I have!!

Summer Birthday

Josie and all the other kids who have summer birthday's celebrated on the last Friday of school! Can you tell she was excited???

Field Day

Josie's Preschool class had Field Day and practice for the "End of the Year" program. It was fun to watch the kids play. Josie saw a lady sitting in the shade nearby and thought it was Kevin's grandma (who recently passed away). Josie pointed to the lady (who did have an uncanny resemblance to her Grandma) and said, "Look Mama, Grandma came to see ME!" and Josie took off running towards her. I had to stop her, fight back my tears and explain "No Josie, that is not Grandma" - and Josie looked up at me with those sweet, innocent eyes and said, "That's right, she is in heaven." I lost it - while Josie ran to join her friends.
