I'm Gonna Get Cha

Kylie is beginning to grab and pull - and of course suck on anything that gets close to her mouth. She LOVES this little carousel she got from GrandCheryl. How cute is she!!??!

Christmas In March

We celebrated Christmas a little late this year with GRandy and GrandCheryl!
The kids had so much fun opening their presents! Kylie slept pretty much the entire time and Josie helped open every one's gifts.

A little loving from GrandCheryl!

Kylie Three Months

Time is flying by! Kylie is now three months old - weighs 16 pounds and is a little over 26 inches long! Once again we have managed to have a little girl who measures off the charts for height and weight! The doctor was concerned about the amount she is eating - 7 oz with cereal in each bottle - every three hours - until he saw her and said "well - she looks healthy and since she is the size and weight of the average 6 months old - I guess she should be eating that much." Kylie is holding her head up - reaching for and grabbing anything that gets close to her (including her sisters hair). She does not enjoying being on her belly but LOVES to stand in the jumperoo and sit in the bumbo and bouncy seat. Kylie has found her voice and is making all kinds of cute noises. She also has a set of lungs - and can let you know when she is not happy! She still spits up a lot and is having a few tummy problems - but for the most part she is a happy little girl. She slept through the night for about a week - and then she got her shots - and then she had diarrhea and a chest cold - but she is trying to make it through the night again. Kylie is a happy baby despite all of her illnesses and all the sickness around her!

Wiped Out

Kylie and Kevin napping the afternoon away!

Josie was completely wiped out after a very long Easter weekend - so tired in fact that she
fell asleep in the middle of eating a cookie! Now that's tired!

Easter

Kylie met her Great Grandmother - better know as Mama over the Easter weekend. Josie got special treatment during the Easter egg hunt - they let her get a head start since she was the youngest! Actually I think it was because they really couldn't make her understand she had to wait!

The ride home was quiet - it's a lot of work looking for eggs!

First Easter Egg Hunt!

Josie enjoyed her first Easter Egg Hunt at the daycare center! It was so much fun watching her and all the other little kids. I was worried that Josie wasn't going to get any eggs - but by the end of the event I was worried that she was not going to be allowed to come back next year because she picked up so many eggs! My little girl was focused and determined to get every eggs! She walked around saying "clean-up" and once she filled her basket she sat it down and began to stuff eggs in her shirt! It was so funny!

Big Day

Kylie went to work with me! It was so nice to actually get her out to the house. When we got home she has to tell Dada all about it! I love that picture!

Uncle Ronnie

Uncle Ronnie came out to spoil the girls and joined us for dinner. We miss Uncle Ronnie! He gave Kylie the little cow blanket with her name on it! Josie got a little personalized book bag with monkeys on it - she carries it to daycare and it is now her diaper bag! Thanks Ronnie -we love you!

Wearing Glasses

Every morning Pop comes over and cooks breakfast for us. Most mornings he has the newspaper with him. Josie reads the classified - ok so she fines the pictures of the dogs and cats - while Pop reads us our horoscope and keeps us up-to-date on the Richmond news. On this morning the paper was late so Pop read a few books to Josie. Josie knows when Pop reads he has to put on his glasses so now she thinks it is fun to put on her glasses too!

Pretty Nails

We went to a baby shower Saturday and Josie's Aunt Debbie painted her finger nails! She sat still and was so proud of her nails! She has shown everyone! I might have a little diva....

Ready for the Summer

Josie found her sunglasses this weekend and has been sporting them around the house and in the grocery store! Yes - they are upside down, but that is the style for everyone under 2! She even wanted Kylie to see her - but Kylie kept turning away!

Hey!

Kylie is picking her head up now and smiling when she sees you!

Swinging

Kylie LOVES the swing we borrowed from Tucker Warren and Josie loves to "help" Kylie swing. Josie's version of swinging is more like a swing during a hurricane - but Kylie doesn't seem to mind.

MeMe's Helper

Josie and MeMe have so much fun together. MeMe lets Josie help in the kitchen which is one of Josie's favorite things in the world! She makes coffee, toast, and is very good at passing you a bowl.
Lately Josie has been calling MeMe "Grandma" - she heard us talking and joking about how before Josie was born my Mom said she wanted to be called Grandmother not some little "she-she, foo-foo" name....
Sometimes she is MeMe, sometimes Grandma (which sounds more like Grandmawer) and when Josie really wants something she is MeMe Grandma....
She has also started calling Pop Poppie when she really really wants something!

Kylie 2 months

Two months old and counting! Kylie has had a tough few months. She has had a cold and a terrible stomach virus, had to change to soy milk, and is on acid reflux medicine! Despite the struggle she is a now 13 pounds and 24 inches long. I am not one who wants to give a child medicine but I am a big fan of the acid reflux medicine. Kylie was never comfortable and most of the time she was screaming in pain. Now thanks to the combination of soy milk and medicine twice a day Kylie is a happy, comfortable sleeping angle! She smiles and coos and has discovered her hands. She loves her bouncy seat and spends lots of time in the pack-n-play with her toys. She sleeps from 9 to 5 and takes little cat naps during the day. She is drinking 6 ounces every 4 hours and still spits up but not half as bad as before the medicine.
Kylie is a real trooper who manages to sleep even when her big sister pulls on her hands, pokes her in the eye and tries to tickle her feet. It has been a challenge with two, but well worth it.

Driving

Josie and I went with Pop to the pasture behind his house to see the to see the cows. Of course Josie had to drive! There were about 25 cows in the field and a few walked up to the window of the truck. We were asked Josie what the cows says and she quietly said moo - moments later one of the cows threw its' head back and forcefully MOOOOOed in Dad's window and Josie's wide eyed expression turned to shock - for a moment I thought she was going to cry - but instead she looked right back at him and with all her mite MOOOOOOed back! It was hilarious!!! Now when you ask her what the cow says she throws her head back and gives you her loudest MOOO possible!

Later that same day Kevin and I took Josie to the rock corey behind Mom and Dad's house (and saw the cows again!) It is HUGE and surprisingly very beautiful.
