Kylie Reed 22 months old

Kylie is so much fun! She is in constant motion - running, jumping and singing...LOUD! Here are a few of her latest pictures.
The white shirt is Pop's - Kylie had a little accident while we were at MeMe's so she wore Pop's shirt home!

Josie had on a Pirate Hat and Kylie wanted one too - so she got my pantyhose and made her own hat! Arrrr

Puppies Puppies Everywhere

The Walker girls have a new love - PUPPIES! Josie has provided each puppy with a very unique name - Trashcan, Shovel, Window, Yogurt, Black Top, and the little girl is named Molly Bell - or sometimes Feather! That's what happens when a three year old names the puppies while standing in the tool shed!

Va State Derby Champion

Kevin and Haynie were thrilled to share the spot light with the girls when Stone Mill's Kennel Sweet won the Va State Derby!! (As Kevin put it the "Daytona" of field trials) When the announcer called out the dogs name as a winner in the speed and drive category, Haynie grabbed a freighted Josie and rushed to the front of the crowd to receive the first trophy (which was a silver julep cup) While about 200 people clapped and cheered, Josie shook her head "no" as the judge tried to hand her the trophy. She reluctantly took it and the crowd gave out a simultaneous "Awwwww" and laughed. Josie was a bit confused by the event - but quickly recovered with no tears just a little nervous look and question "Where is the trophy? And why is the cup empty?" "

When they announced to Stone Mill as the over all winner Kevin grabbed Kylie and Haynie wanted to grab Josie but she polity declined and stayed with me. Josie and I slowly made our way to the front to see Kevin holding Kylie like a football and Kylie holding 2 bowls above her head saying "Yeaaahhhhh." It wasn't long before Josie joined the celebration and held her trophy over her head and cheering along! What a fun time for everyone! We were really glad to share it with Dad too!

Earlier that day we shared lunch with Aunt Susie and Uncle "Dave" at Brian's. They gave the girls the school desk you see here - the perfect snack table for the girls at the field trial! They LOVE the desk!

Last Taste of Summer

The girls have really enjoyed having a little watermelon patch - little sugar baby watermelons are the perfect size for the girls. These are the last ones of the season. Yummmy!

First Day...

Josie's first day at First Christian's Preschool was lots of fun! Josie was a little nervous - but did a great job! When I picked her up from school she ran up to me and said "Mom, I had a wonderful day!"

Kylie was excited about her first day a MC's Kids daycare, but the joy quickly turned to tears when she realised she was not leaving with me. She only goes 2 days a week and was a little confused by the entire process - but after a few tough weeks - but now she wakes up each morning asking if she is going to "see her friends all day."

Thold's visit

We had a wonderful visit with Thold or as the girls refer to him "Ellie's Dad" (Thold's dog is named Ellie- Kylie loved Ellie so much that we framed a photo which is right behind Thold's head on Kylie's bedside table).

Josie's last day at Centenary Preschool

We will miss our wonderful teachers and friends at the Centenary Preschool! Josie learned so much and had sooo much fun! I am so grateful for her time there.

Kylie's Nap Time

I put Kylie down for her nap and went back in about 10 minutes later to discover she had cleaned her bookshelf off and was very quietly reading to herself. She was so proud of herself! When I told her she had to clean up and take a nap she said "Shhhhh, Mommy. Josie is sleeping."

Vacation Bible School

Josie attended VBS and really enjoyed the crafts and playing outside! On the last night all of the kids got to spin the wheel and win prizes - she LOVED it! During the program Josie kept her back turned to the crowd...according to Josie, she was "teaching" the other kids how to sing. (Notice the teachers all have their backs turned)

Kylie's Toddler Bed

Kylie is not sleeping in her toddler bed! This picture is during her first nap in her bed! She seems to enjoy it - except the few times she has fallen out during the night. We have a big stuffed dog pillow that makes her landing soft. She is such a big girl now. She is speaking in full sentences and

letting us know exactly how she feels!

Oak Island

What a great vacation! The girls LOVE the beach and having tons of people to play with and spoil them! Ice cream everyday before lunch - outdoor showers - a pool on the beach...doesn't get much better!

MeMe's Birthday

We enjoyed celebrating MeMe's birthday and blowing out the candles on her cake!

Princess Turns Three!

Josie turned 3 while we were at the beach! She seems to really enjoy the Princess Party! When she woke up the house was decorated and balloons were everywhere. She said "oh Mom- it really IS my birthday!" She was thrilled! Kylie enjoyed having some of Josie's Cinderella cake for breakfast! FUN!

Hite-a-canes

The Hite family joined us for the weekend....we always enjoy spending time with them!

4th of July

We enjoyed a few friends for the 4th of July! The kids really seemed to have fun in the pool and the fireworks for a hit with everyone. We hope to do it again next year!

Sack of Tatoes...

The girls love their bathtime together. Once they are all clean and wrapped tight in a towell they start yelling "sack of tatoes" and off to Kylie's room we go to put on "night night" clothes.... I love this part of the night!!! They laugh and sing and run around naked!! Kevin usually dressed Josie and I dress Kylie. Once they have their PJ's on Kevin acts like a monster and, as they say, "roars them"...the monster can't get them if they are in my lap....so of course they run to me for protection....and then they charge the monster again and again and again! It is so funny...even after several months of it - I still laugh every time!
