10 K

Josie and Kevin cheered me one - ok so Josie slept during most of the race - but was bright-eyed for the finish. John and Lori even showed their support! I ran (yes, ran) the entire 10K! Yeah ME!

We stayed at the Jefferson Hotel the night before and really enjoyed some "down time."

Eight Months

Has it really been eight months? These have been the best months of my life and they seem to just get better. I am still in shock that she is really our little girl. She has such a fun personality and is really beginning to grow into "herself." Everyone tells us that she is such a happy child. Her smile will light up the room and that little giggle makes everything ok. She is around 21 pounds and 30 inches or so (I need to measure her again). Eating Cheerios, mashed potatoes, carrots, and anything else she can get to her mouth. She has not mastered the sippy cup and would rather drink out of MY cup. Still not crawling but she is on the fast track to walking. She pulls up on everything and wants to stand
all the time. She LOVES her walker and is our little shadow. I have learned the hard way not to leave anything in her reach or she will grab, pull and eat it!

She is learning all kinds of new sounds including her favorite, the high pitch scream followed by her "demon" voice.

Josie will let anyone hold her and loves to be held upside down (which usually leads to her spitting up). With her two teeth and counting (the third is getting ready to break through) she will bite and hold on now!

She still LOVES bathtime which is really fun for both of us now. She can make waves, eat bubbles, splash (A LOT), chew on her ducks, play peak-a-boo with the washcloth, do the back stroke AND she happens to get clean while she's in there. Anther things she seems to really enjoy is when she is sitting down and we cover and uncover her with the blanket - the faster you do it the more she laughs (and the more static she gets in her hair which makes me laugh). She loves to be outside and tries to see everything around her at one time while consuming as much grass and dirt as possible! She has all of us wrapped around her little finger and loving

every moment!
